on Mon., Jan. 19 at 9-11pm ET/PT

The History Channel continues ratings and viewership success

New York, JAN. 21, 2004 – The History Channel Special: BARBARIANS: VIKINGS/GOTHS dominated on Monday, January 19 with the two-hour premiere from 9 to 11pm ET/PT. The program averaged 3.1 million viewers, nipping at the heels of the all-time record-setter RUSSIA: LAND OF THE TSARS (average 3.4 million viewers for Parts 1 and 2).

BARBARIANS: VIKINGS/GOTHS delivered:
- 925,000 M25-54 impressions
- 1.5 million A25-54 impressions
- a rating of 2.7 HH AA%


These numbers reflect the continued strong viewership for The History Channel that prevailed in 2003. The network finished the year 2003 up 13% versus 2002 with an average .9 HH AA% in primetime.
