A&E TELEVISION NETWORKS PROMOTES STEVE RONSON TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, AETN ENTERPRISES
(January 14, 2004) New York – Steve Ronson has been promoted to Senior Vice President, AETN Enterprises for A&E Television Networks, it was announced by Whitney Goit, Senior Executive Vice President of A&E Television Networks (AETN). Mr. Ronson joined AETN in July 2000 as Vice President and General Manager, AETN Consumer Products.
In his new position, Mr. Ronson is responsible for both the International and Consumer Products Divisions of AETN, focusing on long-term strategies and incremental growth opportunities for the two groups.
“ Under Steve’s guidance, the AETN Consumer Products Division has experienced substantial growth over the past three years, which has included both the expansion of existing businesses, and the launch of a number of successful new initiatives,” said Mr. Goit. “Steve’s broad business experience and entrepreneurial approach will be key to the continuing growth of AETN Enterprises.”
In his previous position, Mr. Ronson oversaw and developed worldwide synergies for the Consumer Products Division’s product lines and direct to consumer business, such as A&E Home Video, Licensing, E-commerce, and Direct Response Television.
Previously, Mr. Ronson was the Senior Vice President of Business Development at Things Remembered. Prior to that, Mr. Ronson was C.O.O. of a children’s sports & lifestyle retailer 3 Sixty, Inc.; and spent six years as Vice President, General Merchandise Manager for Barnes & Noble College Bookstores.
Mr. Ronson’s promotion is announced following the retirement of E. James Greiner, Executive Vice President New Enterprises.
